Delete your account in the app

In the Classspace mobile app:

• Open Profile, then Account.
• Tap Delete account at the bottom, type your email address to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

Ask us to delete it

If you can't use the app, or the account belongs to a child, send a deletion request through the contact page and choose "Privacy request". Tell us the email address on the account. We will check the request comes from the account holder (or the child's parent or guardian) and complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deleting an account signs you out everywhere and permanently removes or anonymises:

• your name, email address, password and profile picture;
• your learning profile, lesson progress details and study preferences;
• reminder settings and device notification tokens;
• family links to children, including the stored first names; and
• email addresses you gave when asking a parent to pay.

What we keep

We keep payment and subscription records for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax. They no longer carry your name or email address. Class and school records that other people rely on, such as a teacher's gradebook, stay with the school, with your name removed.

When deletion is not available straight away

The app will tell you if any of these apply:

• Your school created your account. Ask your teacher or school administrator to remove it.
• You have a subscription that is still renewing. Cancel it first, then delete your account.
• You administer a school or organisation that still has members. Transfer or close it first, or contact us.

Children's accounts

Deleting a parent account does not delete the accounts of children linked to it; those children keep their own sign-in. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's account through the contact page.
